ASHES HANDLING
PROCESS
After losing a loved one or a beloved pet, it can be a difficult time processing grief and collecting the ashes. Hands-on assembly of moving the cremated ashes might be emotionally confronting. Every keepsake order comes with an ashes kit - the kit includes a miniature funnel, small scoop, and polishing cloth for your pendant. This process is not the easiest and the thought of moving the ashes into a pendant is not for everyone, even as a trained professional in the funeral industry, I struggled with opening my own pet's ashes months after he passed away.
OPTIONS:
Option One: DIY
The most common option is you fill your keepsake pendant - Every order comes with an ashes kit - the kit includes a miniature funnel, small scoop, and polishing cloth.
Option Two: Sending to Us
Sending a small amount of ashes by courier - once you have placed your order, we will send you out a prepaid courier bag. When the courier bag arrives, you organise a small amount of ashes and send it back to us. We will do everything else, and document the process, then send photos by email on completion. We will courier the keepsake pendant back to you, and any remaining ashes.
Option Three: Local Collection
Tania is a Registered Mortician contracting in the Auckland area. As she works in the funeral industry, she can gain access to funeral homes, where obtaining a small amount of human ashes before family collection is possible - this removes the need to send by courier. Please email tania@ravenandco.nz for more information, and to arrange this option.
